There is also the reverse-impostor syndrome: you present at a conference, but people are afraid to ask you questions because they think you are smart and think they are not so smart, they are afraid to look dumb. But for the presenter in question, it leads to lack of interesting feedback — people afraid to tell you stuff or that you are wrong etc. It would be easier if you could present under a pseudonym so people don’t know who you are, and are not afraid to talk.
